- Overall grading activity was ⬇14% in June compared to May but ⬆22% YoY.
Roughly 1.53 million cards were graded across the four companies, nearly 250k fewer than in May.
However, June had three fewer business days compared to May.
Otherwise, June's results were tracking closely with May.
- PSA graded 1.16m cards - ⬇15% vs May, ⬆16% YoY
- CGC graded 178k cards - ⬇3% vs May, ⬆105% YoY
- SGC graded 147k cards - ⬇15% vs May, ⬆53% YoY
- Beckett graded 52k cards - ⬇11% vs May, ⬇30% YoY

- PSA graded 1,369,953 items during May; total output improved by 13% vs April and was up 35% year-over-year. This is a new all-time high for PSA.
Category Summary
Basketball had the largest incremental impact in May
- TCG was down to 32% of cards graded in May (vs 36% in April).
- Many categories were up compared to April; however, basketball and football both saw significant increases on the heels of the 2023 Prizm basketball and football releases.

PSA bounced back from a modest slowdown in April with a record month in May.
The company has a lot of momentum heading into the National and should continue to generate attention with its new streamlined partnership with eBay.
May 2024 SGC Grading Recap
- SGC graded 174,031 cards during May - an 6% increase vs April and a 97% increase year-over-year. This is a new all-time high for SGC.

The company has been quiet on the news front for the past few months, letting their grading activity do the talking.
